Tax-free weekend!

Can you believe that in less than 30 days, kids on the traditional school calendar will be hitting the books, making new friends and completing homework on a daily basis again? I know, I can’t believe it either.
To prepare for this event, you should take advantage of North Carolina’s Tax Free Weekend starting at midnight Friday, August 6th. It’s the only time of year where you can purchase lots of goodies without paying tax for them, and it can be a great savings for you and your family.
Clothing, footwear, and school supplies of $100 or less per item; school instructional materials of $300 or less per item; sports and recreation equipment of $50 or less per item, computers of $3,500 or less per item; and computer supplies of $250 or less per item will be exempt.
