Leslie DeAntonio celebrates 20 years of service with CENTURY 21 Sweyer & Associates

In an economy where jobs are hard to come by and longevity with a company is an exception, not a rule, it’s nice to be able to congratulate Leslie DeAntonio for her 20 years of commitment and service to Century 21 Sweyer & Associates.

“I have watched Century 21 Sweyer & Associates grow from 6 agents to over 200 agents, plus CAMS (Community Association Management Specialists) and a Rental Department. Even though we have grown in size, the company still has a great family atmosphere”, Leslie said.

Even though our family name is on the sign outside, it has been Leslie that has helped define us on the inside. When asked about the changes that have occurred in real estate over 20 years Leslie said, “Real estate has always been a people business. When I started, we had MLS books and pagers. There were no fax machines or cell phones. Agents had to pick up keys to show properties; only empty homes had a form of lock box. We now have computerized lock boxes that track showings of the properties and make it easier to show and track the showings. Offers used to be hand carried back and forth between agents. Today everything is faxed or emailed, which speeds the process toward the contract stage. Tools and resources aside, the interaction is the same – we still focus on helping people and families find a home — a place where memories will be created. That is one part of real estate that hasn’t changed.”

Leslie also spoke fondly of her years with Century 21 Sweyer & Associates. “It’s been interesting to see a company change over a 20 year span – leadership has changed, coworkers come and go. New offices come about as we grow and expand. I have stayed with Century 21 Sweyer because they have done an amazing job of reacting to all the outside changes and have adapted well while remaining a leader in the industry. Having a family leadership team has allowed us to grow with the ambition of a younger generation, the wisdom of an older generation and the careful attention to preserve a family-like atmosphere for all the agents and staff.”

“In my 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a range of fields, from sales to advertising, real estate school development, management and client relationships.
